One patent on an aquatic waste process has been secured by the Center and Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. The process provides for developing a high-protein aquaculture meal with low calcium and low phosphorus levels. Another patent is underway that deals with low-input methods for the conversion of aquatic waste into aquaculture meal products without the use of chemicals.
