LAMP Program
Overview of LAMP Program
Q. What type of assistance does this program offer?
A. LAMP provides mediation services that assist in resolving disputes between agriculture producers
and their creditors, as well as disputes involving "adverse decisions" of various USDA agencies,
such as Farm Services Agency (FSA), the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS), Rural Development, and any other USDA Sponsored Program.
The staff with LAMP understands the farming industry and is well versed in a wide
range of other agricultural legal issues, as well as the regulations involved with "adverse
decisions" of various USDA agencies. The staff also is very knowledgeable of the
farming industry and issues facing agriculture producers. The LAMP program coordinator will provide USDA program participants direct technical
assistance prior to the mediation
process. The technical services provided by the staff of LAMP will serve to enhance and support the mediation process.
Q. Are there any fees associated with receiving assistance
from this program?
A. No, for qualified persons, it is free of charge.
