The Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center is planning the First

goat project.
The Goat Field Day will be open to all interested producers, as well as
those interested in the goat industry, in the state. The field day will involved expert lead

management, forming a co-op of producers, and recording keeping and marketing.
An afternoon session, to be held at the Experiment Station in Baker, LA,

scoring, hoof trimming and administering medications, and general kid management. This
gathering is designed to not only educate the producers in the; but also to enable the
producers to network among themselves to expand their knowledge and strengthen the goat
