Non-Profit Development Seminar scheduled for July 26

VILLE PLATTE-Community leaders interested in non-profit development are invited to attend the "So You Want to Start a Non-profit", seminar hosted by the Center for Rural and Small Business Development, Thursday, July 26, at the Ville Platte City Hall.

The 6 p.m. meeting will provide a checklist for considering non-profit start-up and information on securing state incorporation and filing for tax-exempt or 501c3 status with the Internal Revenue Service.

Ville Plate City Hall is located at 126 E. Main Street. The meeting will take place in board meeting room at 6:00 p.m.

This seminar is a joint effort of the Southwest Center for Rural Initiatives and Center for Rural and Small Business Development; both are divisions of the Southern University Ag Center.
