Business development series begins Aug. 9

BATON ROUGE-Current business owners looking to sharpen entrepreneurship skills and persons considering the start of a new business are invited to participate in a five-class series on business development offered this month by the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center.

The short workshops will be held 6:00 p.m. - 9 p.m., weekly in the Ag Center's conference room 191.

Business professors, retirees, and specialists will teach:

• The Basics to Starting a Business - August 9;
• Legal Aspects of Starting a Business - August 14;
• Marketing Your Business - August 21;
• Accounting and Taxes for Your Business - August 28; and
• Using Computer Technology in Business - September 4.
