Free Beef Cattle Workshop to be offered by Southern University Ag
Center
The Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center is offering a free Beef
Cattle Workshop for beef cattle producers and Heifer Project International producers on
Saturday, November 6, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at the Southern University Maurice A.
Edmonds Livestock Arena (three miles north of the Southern University campus, on Hwy.
61N., behind the Jetson Correctional Facility).
The workshop will cover topics on body conformation, artificial insemination,
freeze branding, animal nutrition, herd health and facilities and housing. The event will
also offer an opportunity for networking, and a chance to meet other beef cattle producers.
