SU Ag Center to Host Campus Market on Oct. 19
Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center will host a Campus Market on October 19, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on campus at Lee-Hines Baseball Stadium.
The market will be open to Southern University students, faculty, staff, and the community. There will be a free CSA Bag Giveaway consisting of ground beef, greens, eggs, and tomatoes. This will be served on a first come, first served basis. Participants will also be able to attend demonstrations on food safety.
“This event is to give back to the community and students that have supported Southern University for so many years,” said L’Asia George, Extension Associate for Southern University Cooperative Extension’s Agricultural and Natural Resources.
Students from the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences Nutrition and Apparel Merchandise & Textile Clubs will be there selling their customized products.
This event is sponsored by the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation, the Southern University System Foundation, and the Louisiana Department of Health.
