Brittny Sims Washington serves as the Family and Human Sciences and Nutrition Educator for Madison and Richland Parishes. With a strong commitment to holistic community wellness, she leads evidence-based nutrition education programs across schools, health units, senior centers, and public libraries.
Brittny is also a published contributor in Louisiana’s Rural Community Gardens: Inspiration and Tools for Garden Managers, a Cornell University-led project highlighting sustainable food systems. She chairs the Madison Parish School Health Advisory Council, serves as Board President of Sylbyl-Denver Training Facility, INC., and sits on Senator Katrina Jackson’s District 34 Advisory Board for Agriculture, Education, Health, and Economics.
Brittny’s work for the Ag center reflects her passion for empowering families with the tools to thrive—physically, economically, and socially.
