Summer Camps







C.H.E.F. Camp
The C.H.E.F. (Creating, Healthy, Enjoyable Foods) Camps are designed to teach youth basic cooking principles and nutrition education based on the USDA’s, “MyPlate” food guidance system and the Dietary Guidelines. Each day, participants work together to create healthy recipes while learning healthy eating and physical activity principles, food preparation, kitchen and food safety, common cooking terms, proper food handling, measuring techniques, critical thinking and team building skills, planning and time management.

JAGcation Camp
The JAGcation Summer Camp focuses on various concepts and careers in agriculture, family, and consumer sciences. Campers will work with a network of subject matter specialists, researchers, and academicians in the areas of animal science, entomology, food science, nutrition, plant and soil sciences and public health among others. The Camp’s aim is to enhance youth interest in agricultural, family, and consumer science fields to strengthen students’ perspectives to address global grand challenges.

Hip-Hop to GenZ Camp
The SU Ag Center’s Hip Hop to Gen Z Camp is designed for students in grades 6th–12th with a passion for music. The camp focuses on all thing’s music and hip hop. Campers will be taught dance, songwriting, and DJ skills. This STEM-focused program covers a diverse range of topics linking music to STEM career fields.
