Breaking the Lending Code
The Southern University Ag Center has partnered with b1BANK to host the Breaking the Lending Code Saturday Academy and Certification Program for business owners. The event will be held September 19, 2026 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in room 101 in the Natural Sciences Building on the Southern University at New Orleans campus, 6400 Press Drive, New Orleans, LA 70126.
The Saturday Academy is designed to help entrepreneurs better understand how to become bank ready. Topics discussed will include business planning, understanding financial statements, credit readiness, legal structures, and the lending process.
After the Academy, participants will have the opportunity to continue with a virtual certification track. They will be able to select one of the following two next-step tracks:
· Track 1 — Virtual Business Blueprint Group Session
· Track 2 —In-Person or Virtual One-on-One Counseling Session with a b1 FOUNDATION Business Consultant
