College of Ag’s FAB Lab to hold 2025 Summer Camp

Baton Rouge, La. – The Fashion and Business Laboratory (FAB LAB) in the SU College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences (CAHES) will host its 2025 Summer Camp ‘Back-2-School Edition’ for youth ages eight and up.

This year, the camp will hold three sessions in the Apparel Construction Lab located inside Pinkie Thrift Hall on Southern University’s campus. Participants will create three creative, back-to-school sewing projects per session. All materials and supplies will be included.

Each camp session will be held from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. on the following dates:

· July 18-20 - Participants will design pencil cases, drawstring, backpacks, and notebook covers.

· July 25 – 27 – Participants will design custom ID lanyards, lunch bags, and water bottle cozies.

· August 1 – 3 – Participants will design scrunchies, tablet sleeves, and roll-up desk organizers.

There is a registration fee of $100 for one session, $180 for two sessions, and $240 for three sessions.
