Dr. Renita Marshall appointed to the Southwest Center for Agricultural Health, Injury Prevention and Education (SW Ag Center) Advisory Committee

Dr. Renita Woods Marshal, Vice Chancellor for Academics and Student Support Services and Associate Dean at Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, has been appointed to the Southwest Center for Agricultural Health, Injury Prevention and Education (SW Ag Center) Regional Advisory Committee (RAC).  

The Center is housed at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center to serve Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas as part of a program initiative of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

The Regional Advisory Committee is a diverse group that utilizes members’ experiences and skill sets to counsel and assist principal investigators and staff.  The multidisciplinary group represents dairy, forestry, logging, commercial fishing, public health, engineering, health literacy, industrial hygiene, education, migrant and seasonal farm workers, and veterinary medicine.
