SU Ag Center, College of Ag to hold Free Canine & Feline Animal Vaccine Clinic

Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center and the SU College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences’ Animal Science Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club has partnered with Pets for Life/ Companion Animal Alliance, the Hammond Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge, and the PetSmart Veterinary Services in Houma to host the 2025 Vet on Wheels Canine and Feline Companion Animal Vaccine Clinic.

This free community outreach event will be held Nov. 12, 2025, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. on the lawn of Fisher Hall on the Southern University campus.

“This program gives individuals an opportunity to get their pets healthy without having to accrue an additional cost,” expressed Dr. Tyra Davis, Assistant Professor/Agricultural Science and Technology in the College of Ag.

The animals will receive their core vaccines including the rabies vaccine during the clinic.

Southern University Pre-Veterinary Medicine students will also have an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience during the event.
