SU Ag Center & Park Ridge Achievement Academy to host Healthy Harvest Community Festival
Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center and the Park Ridge Achievement Academy will cohost a Healthy Harvest Community Festival from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2025. It will be held at Park Ridge Achievement Academy, located at 13855 Plank Rd., Baker, LA 70714.
The festival will promote health and wellness among students at Park Ridge Achievement Academy, local senior citizens, and within the Baker community. The event seeks to strengthen community connections while addressing key health needs and combating food insecurity by providing access to nutritious foods and valuable wellness resources. Through education, engagement, and empowerment, the festival aims to create a supportive environment that encourages healthier lifestyles for all.
In addition to health screenings, physical activities, free food, and community resources, the festival will also feature a produce giveaway available on a first-come, first-served basis, mental health services to support emotional and behavioral well-being, free haircuts, and fitness sessions.
Participants can look forward to a vibrant, family-friendly event filled with opportunities to engage in wellness activities while promoting access to healthy foods and reducing barriers to wellness.
