SU Ag Center to host 5th Annual Vino on the Bluff Scholarship Wine Tasting Fundraiser






Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center and the College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences(CAHES) will host the 5th Annual Vino on the Bluff Wine Tasting Fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 2, 2026 at the Leon R. Tarver II Cultural and Heritage Center, 8320 G. Leon Netterville Dr., on the Southern University campus.
This year, attendees can choose from the following experiences:
· The Vino Experience - The signature Vino on the Bluffexperience, including wine tastings, culinary delights, live entertainment,auctions, and a commemorative souvenir.
· The Winemaker's VIP Experience - Elevate your Vino on the Bluff experience with exclusive access to a guided tour of the Ag Center’s vineyard the day before the event (October 1, 2026), where you'll learn about our growing Viticulture & Enology Program and the research shaping Louisiana's wine industry. Your VIP package also includes admission to the event and a commemorative Vino on the Bluff signature gift. (Limited availability.)
· The Vintner's Table (Limited to only six tables.) - Elevateyour Vino on the Bluff experience with a reserved Vintner's Table. Perfect forentertaining clients or celebrating with friends. Includes a reserved table forten, dedicated table concierge, and unlimited signature hibiscus cocktailsthroughout the evening.
Tickets are $75 for the Vino Experience,$125 for the Winemaker's VIP Experience, and $1,000 for The Vintner's Table.Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

The event will also feature wine from “The 801 Collection,” curated wine and whiskey tastings, S.U.N. Beef farm-to-table bites, a silent auction, live entertainment, and much more!
From the vineyard to the glass, the Vino on the Bluff experience supports the Ag Center and the CAHES’ mission of advancing agricultural research, preparing tomorrow's workforce, and growing Louisiana's emerging wine industry. Funds from the wine tasting will be used to raise scholarship dollars for the Darjean Jones Wines Continuing Education Scholarship Fund for students enrolled in CAHES.
