The event will provide valuable information on the connections between nutrition, public health, and mental health as it relates to breast cancer prevention and care. Participants will also have a chance to engage in an interactive trivia game to test their knowledge of breast cancer facts and stand a chance to win exciting prizes. The Ag Center is currently collecting gently used bras that will be donated to shelters and breast cancer awareness efforts. Donation boxes have been placed at Pinkie Thrift Hall, the J.K. Haynes Hall Nursing Building, Fisher Hall, the J. S. Clark Administration Annex Building, and Mayberry Dining Hall. Donations are being accepted until Oct. 29.

Ag Center and College of Ag staff and students will participate in the Southern University Student Health Center’s Annual Homecoming Health Fair. The staff will provide information on nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The health fair will also include blood pressure and health screenings. Students will also be able to receive free flu immunizations.
