Fresh locally grown fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat, and homemade jellies are a few of the products that will be available for purchase during the SU Ag Center's JAGFresh Farmers Market.
The SU Dietetic Internship Program is introducing its new Lacumba's Nutrition Clinic Program, designed specifically for our college community. Southern University students, faculty, and staff, will be supported in their journey to better health and wellness. The clinic will offer personalized nutrition counseling, healthy eating workshops, and practical tips to help you feel your best, both in and out of the classroom.
The 1890 Center of Excellence at the Southern University Ag Center will host the virtual webinar, "See Me. Hear Me. Know Me. Teen Perceptions of How Living in a Rural Community Influences Their Diet and Physical Activity Choices." Dr. Deborah Thompson, USDA/ARS Scientist, Nutritionist, and Professor will be the guest speaker for the webinar. Much of Dr. Thompson's research focuses on the prevention of youth obesity and related diseases and understanding how to use digital media to reach youth in ways that encourage and maintain behavior changes.

Join the Center of Excellence for SU Together: Move More, Eat Better fall cooking and exercise classes. Individuals will learn how to make salmon and cauliflower chickpea tacos with mango salsa. The fitness component will be extreme fitness: pilates.
