SARDI/USDA to hold a Community Stakeholders Informational Meeting on June 30

Baton Rouge, La. – The Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Institute (SARDI), a satellite campus of the Southern University Ag Center, and the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development, Farm Service Agency (FSA), and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a community stakeholder informational meeting on June 30, 2022.

 

The meeting, which is free and open to small farmers in the Opelousas area, will be held at 9 a.m. at SARDI’s office, 1209 Diesi Street, in Opelousas, LA.

 

Participants will receive information on Rural Development’s Business Development – Intermediary Relending Program, the NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) High Tunnel Initiative, and the FSA’s Farm Ownership Loan Program.

 

Partners for the meeting include: Agromen, Fueling Families, EJMAX Solution, LLC, Muse 3 Farm, the USDA’s Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement, and the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service.
