SU Ag Center set to host its 2024 Boots and Bling Affair
Baton Rouge, La. - The Southern University Ag Center will host its 2nd Boots and Bling Affair on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. in the F.G. Clark Activity Center on Southern University’s campus.
Funds raised from the Boots and Bling Affair will be used to provide scholarship awards and necessary equipment to youth exhibitors participating in the Ag Center's Annual Livestock and Poultry Show.
The event will include entertainment by zydeco accordionist and singer, Chris Ardoin. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native began playing the accordion at the age of four and played at Carnegie Hall in New York at the age of nine. Ardoin is known for blending traditional Creole music with R&B, gospel, jazz, rock, blues, and country music.
Individuals interested in attending the event can select from three ticket options. There is a $30 arena seating option for individuals who only want to attend the concert, a $40 general admission floor seating option, and a $250 table option. The Boots and Bling Affair is the first of several events planned for the SU Ag Center’s 81st Annual Livestock and Poultry Show.
