Dr. Donovan Segura has been elected as the Representative of the American Society for Public Administration's (ASPA) Third District

Baton Rouge, La. - Dr. Donovan Segura, Associate Vice Chancellor for Compliance at the SU Ag Center and Professor of Public Policy and Public Administration at the Southern University and A&M College, has been elected the District III Representative of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Board, the largest and most prominent professional association for public administration.

Segura, who also serves as the President of the Conference of Minority Public Administrators (COMPA), will begin his three-year term as District III’s representative in April.  The district includes ASPA members in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

He will be the only African American male serving on the ASPA Board.

Segura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, a Master of Arts in Social Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy Administration, all from Southern University.
