SU Ag Center set to host its 28th annual Collegiate Black History Quiz Bowl

Baton Rouge, La. - The Southern University Ag Center and the College of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences will host the 28th annual Collegiate Black History Quiz Bowl at 3 p.m. on February 23 in the 3rd floor auditorium of T.T. Allain Hall on Southern University’s campus.

 

All student clubs and organizations, and individual student groups throughout the campus are encouraged to participate. Each team will compete to show their knowledge of current events, politics, history, sports, and entertainment.

 

Teams must consist of four members plus an optional alternate. To participate, teams must sign-up online. The deadline to sign-up is February 10.  Team rosters are due no later than Tuesday, February 17.

 

Plaques will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and all participants will receive a book by or about some aspect of the Black experience at the end of the event.

 

The Black History Quiz Bowl has been led by Professor Emeritus, Dr. Owusu Bandele, for the past 27 years.
