College of Ag student Faith Woods has been Crowned as the 94th Miss Southern University

Baton Rouge, La. – Faith V. Woods, a senior Agribusiness major from Baton Rouge, La. has been crowned as the 94th Miss Southern University.

The crowing was held on Oct. 16, 2024 during the Miss Southern University Coronation which was themed, “The Hour of Dreams.”

Woods is a JAG STARS scholarship recipient. During her time at Southern University, she has served as the 2021-2022 Freshman Class Chief of Staff and Director of Public Relations, 2022 – 2023 Associate for Women Students Activities Coordinator, 2022 – 2023 Jaguar Activities Board Cultural Events Chair, Membership Chair of the Southern University Chapter of the NAACP, and the Louisiana Youth and College NAACP State Education Chair. She was a Fall 2022 inductee of the Collegiate 100 Chapter of Southern University, Café Lacumba Ambassador, College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences Ambassador, 2022-2023 Miss Junior, and a Spring 2024 initiate of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

After obtaining her degree in Agricultural Business, Faith plans to pursue a Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center become an international and environmental lawyer.
