Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus that was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China.

 Quick Facts/Tips:

 

 

  • Practice proper infection control and sterilization measures.

  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water (at least 20 seconds); if soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay home when you are sick, and see a doctor immediately to be evaluated for COVID-19.

  • If someone becomes infected, insist that he or she fully recover before returning.

  • Moodle Student Orientation (Login Required)- https://moodle.sus.edu/enrol/instances.php?id=6926.  This course provides information and exercises that entail the basic features that may be used in Moodle. A student may obtain a badge once this orientation is completed. Students can upload to a course showing that they understand how to use Moodle.
  • SUBR Faculty Café (Login Required) - https://moodle.sus.edu/course/view.php?id=9. This is an area designated to share information, tips, concerns, etc. with SUBR faculty.
  • Louisiana Public Library WIFI Access Map - https://bit.ly/2JeHkK3 The Louisiana Board of Regents' LOUIS Library Network has developed a map of library locations that are providing WIFI hotspots for college students and faculty members needing internet access.
